Airport slot drainage maintenance

Like any drainage system, slot drainage benefits from regular inspection and planned maintenance as blockages can and do occur, predominantly from silt, vegetation and detritus. The flooding that can result from blocked and defective slot or channel type surface water drainage can interrupt airport operations and in car park locations can have a negative impact on visitors and customers.

Waterflow have extensive experience in maintaining airport slot drainage both airside and landside, employing CCTV surveys using a range of cameras appropriate to the drain size if required. Generally the work is carried out at night to minimise disruption to airport operations.

Occasionally drains are damaged by impacts from vehicles, plant and materials involved with other maintenance or construction activities.  Waterflow have the skills, resources and experience necessary to implement repairs / replacement as appropriate to the damage.
