Condition Monitoring

Through experience in the delivery of total asset management packages for drainage, vegetation and structural assets, Waterflow Plc has developed a robust approach to condition monitoring. This has enables us to deliver quantifiable year on year cost savings to our customers.

The key principles of our approach are:

  • Monitoring of historic asset deterioration, failures and incidents
  • Creation of an asset management plan identifying planned and reactive resources and activities and associated controls
  • Identify leading indicators of deterioration / faults
  • Identify lagging indicators of deterioration / faults.

The indicators tend to be a mix of qualitative and quantitative measures, and wherever possible we automate their collection or integrate collection of this data with other activities.

As each contract progresses we optimise the balance between the costs of monitoring and planned maintenance, with the costs and risks of asset deterioration and failure / faults.
