Drain, sewer & pipeline root cutting & clearance
Waterflow have, over the years, perfected the best ways of removing root infiltration that can sometimes be found in pipes and sewers. We have found that water at very high pressure is the most effective cutting tool for these kinds of jobs and using spinning water jets and flails powered by high pressure water we are able to cut out tap roots and mass roots that have grown into and clogged pipes. These techniques, used in conjunction with our CCTV survey service are extremely efficient and also provide a very useful ‘no dig’ method of sewer maintenance.
Skid mounted rotating water-jetting heads winched through the sewer or pipeline and chain flails are used to remove very heavy intruding tap roots. Alternatively, water jets, set at a pre-detemined angle, at pressures of up to 10,000psi are aimed at pipe’s internal surface and slices through any root and/or scale, effectively removing it. We are able to control the water pressure used to ensure that the minimum effective pressure is used at all times to prevent damage to the pipe and monitor the process using our CCTV services to ensure that the process is properly completed.
Some of the typical removal applications for Very High Pressure jetting:
- Removal of cement deposits from sewer and pipelines
- Removal of root infiltration from drains and sewers
- Removal of hard scale deposits from drains and sewers
